Aquila Alternatives offers child care organisations a comprehensive range of training, vocational qualifications and consultancy services.

We try to use our own substantial practical experience to offer high quality support in ways which organisations can easily access

We currently have a number of opportunities for social care trainers, assessors and consultants.

Trainers should be experienced in social care work and either have, or be willing to work towards, a trainer’s qualification. We can offer this training in house.

Assessors for our NVQ and vocational qualifications programme should be experienced at level 3, level 4, or management level and should have, or be willing to work towards, an A1 Assessor’s qualification. We can offer the A1 award in house.

Consultants should have in depth experience in one or more aspects of child care; experience in research and presentation would be an advantage.

Current Vacancies

NVQ/Diploma Assessors

We are constantly looking to recruit 'Assessing the Quality of Assesment' and 'Assuring the Quality of Assessemnt' (Verifier) or equivalent Assessors for both the children's workforce and adult qualifications.

We would expect the successful applicant(s) to either already have, or be willing to work towards PTLLS/CTLLS within 12 months of appointment.

We are seeking people with competence, skills and knowlege of a range of services for vulnerable people.  Our ethos is to recruit people who understand the service their learners work in.

These posts are available salaried/freelance, full time/part-time.

Salary from £10-£15 per hour freelance and we would consider a salaried post.

Candidates would need to be able to provide their own transport and be willing to travel.

Trainers

We are currently looking for freelance trainers who can write and deliver courses for Aquila alternatives as well as trainers who have their own specialist courses already prepared. 

We would require all trainers to have occupational competence and experience of working with the relevant client group.  We would like all trainers to have a 'train the trainer' qualification such as PTLLS or be willing to work towards this award.
