STOP PRESS - PTLLS Success

Aquila Alternatives Limited are pleased to announce that some of their key staff have successfully completed Preparation to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)

The Assessment Team - Wayne Jenkins, Ann Gaffney and Dawn Armistead

Colin Imrie, Jon Lamb, Kim Sellars and Peter Bryan worked with Tutor/Assessor Dawn Armistead over a 30 hour taught programme to achieve their qualification.

Wayne Jenkins the External Verifier from Edexcel visited the Office on 21st May 2010 and was delighted with the delivery, content, structure and assessment and verification processes.

Wayne has given the go ahead for future programmes, the next of which begins in Blackpool on June 10th 2010 at the Solaris Centre.
 
The group evaluated the training and said:

'I feel I have learnt and consolidated new and interesting knowledge and skills'

'I have learned the importance of functional skills and teaching methods that can be fun and also challenging'

There are plans to deliver PTLLS again in September at The Innkeepers Lodge, Stockport and Aquila Alternatives have had a number of enquiries from a variety of customers.

We are continuously looking at ways to develop our staff further and this has been an ideal progression in light of developments with LLUK, CWDC and other funding bodies.
